This policy provides guidance for Direct Seller (s)/user’s use of social media, which should be broadly understood for purposes of this policy to include social networking sites, blogs, wikis, microblogs, message boards, chat rooms, electronic newsletters, online forums and other sites and services that permit users to share information with others in a contemporaneous manner.
Procedures
The following principles apply to professional use of social media by its Direct Seller (s) (herein referred to as User’s) on behalf of Royal Premier Club. (herein referred to as “Direct Selling Entity”) as well as personal use of social media by its User’s when referencing Direct Selling Entity.
User’s need to know and adhere to the Direct Selling Entity’s Code of Conduct, Direct Selling Entity’s policies, and the Consumer Protection Act (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021 notified on 28 Dec 2021 with its true spirit and object and any amendment thereto and Information Technology Act 2000 (21 of 2000) when using social media in reference to Direct Selling Entity.
User’s should be aware of the effect their actions may have on their images, as well as Direct Selling Entity’s image. The information that User’s post or publish may be public information for a long time.
User’s should be aware that Direct Selling Entity may observe content and information made available by users through social media. Users should use their best judgment in posting material that is neither inappropriate nor harmful to Direct Selling Entity, its users, customers, or other stakeholders. Although not an exclusive list, some specific examples of prohibited social media conduct include posting commentary, content, tags, comment, images, or videos that are defamatory, political, anti-national, against any particular religion, sect or faith, pornographic, fake, proprietary, racist, confidential, pertaining to Intellectual Property Rights, harassing, libelous, or that can create a hostile work environment.
Users are not to publish post or release any information that is considered confidential or not public. If there are questions about what is considered confidential, the User should check with the Direct Selling Entity’s Legal Department.
Social media networks, blogs, and other types of online content sometimes generate press and media attention or legal questions. Users should refer these inquiries to authorized Direct Selling spokespersons.
If User’s find encounter a situation while using social media that threatens to become antagonistic, User’s should disengage from the dialogue in a polite manner and seek the advice of the Direct Selling Entity’s spokespersons.
Users should take appropriate permission before posting images of current or former users, customers, Direct Selling Entity ,staff, vendors, suppliers, or other stakeholders. additionally, users should take appropriate permission to use a third party's copyrights, copyrighted material, trademarks, service marks, or other intellectual property.
Users are not permitted to open social media accounts, link with other sites, blogs, pages, or any account which facilitates payment in Direct Selling Entty’s name failing which strict action shall be taken against such direct seller (s)/User(s).
Users are not permitted to open social media accounts in the Direct Selling Entity’s name which includes prefixing (for e.g. Royal Premier club Official), suffixing (for e.g. Official Royal Premier Club), or using an abbreviation (for e.g. RPC), product categories (for e.g Be smile etc), products (for e.g 19In) or any other name which infringes the Intellectual Property Rights of the Direct Selling Entity.
